VASS Senior Coaches for 2023-2024

VASS staff is pleased to announce that Dr. Lori Harper and Dr. Jared Cotton have been selected to serve as VASS Senior Coaches for the 2023-2024 school year.

Dr. Lori Harper is the superintendent of Amelia County Public Schools and has worked in the field of education for over 35 years. She has devoted her career to enhancing organizations that serve children. Her numerous career experiences have frequently involved transforming existing programs, creating organizational systems, and initiating new programs. She was a member of Cohort I of the Virginia Superintendent Leadership Academy where she developed and implemented a leadership development program.

Dr. Jared Cotton is the superintendent of Chesapeake City Public Schools. Jared has a strong background in strategic planning, curriculum and instruction, and coaching/mentoring colleagues and future leaders. He received his National Superintendent Certification through the AASA, The School Superintendents Association in 2016.
