VASS-VASBO 2021 Virtual Winter Conference

In conjunction with the start of the Virginia General Assembly's 2021 Legislative Session in Richmond, VASS and VASBO offer a multi-session conference exploring budgetary and policy issues that directly affect the budget planning efforts of Division Superintendents and their School Business Officials.
The conference will feature presentations by public policymakers and experts who will address:
- Governor Northam's and the General Assembly's proposed budgets
- potential legislative issues for the 2021 Session and their financial implications for school divisions
- unemployment issues that are related to COVID-19
- the financial ramifications of collective bargaining
- the relationship between instruction and finance
- what has been learned during the Pandemic that will improve instruction
- innovative approaches to staffing
- the status of broadband access in Virginia
- federal funding and what to expect

Conference Fee and Registration for VASS Superintendents, VASBO Members, and other School Division Leaders
The 2021 VASS-VASBO Winter Conference fee for VASS Superintendents, VASBO Members, and other School Division Leaders is $125 per person.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
In the registration form (below), required fields are indicated with a red asterisk. Mistakes made in completing the form will be highlighted in red.
Once you have submitted the registration, the person or people whom you have designated to receive a confirmation email should see that email (with registration information included) within 24 hours.
Pre-Payment is not required. However, if you would like to pay now by credit card or PayPal, you will be provided with a link to the VASS online payment portal after you submit your registration.
If you do not pay by credit card at registration, the person on the registration form whom you have identified as the billing contact will receive an invoice for payment after the conference.
If a purchase order number is provided on the registration form, it will be referenced on the invoice.
Notice of cancellation must be sent by email to Liza Scallet, the VASS Administrative Assistant, by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30 . . . or you will be billed in full.
Registration for VASS Partners, VASBO Sponsors, and VASS Business Affiliate Members
VASS Business Partners and VASBO Business Sponsors are invited to participate in the Winter Conference. Each VASS Partner and each VASBO Sponsor receives three complimentary registrations for representatives to attend the VASS-VASBO Winter Conference. Additional representatives will each be charged a registration fee of $150.
VASS Partners and VASBO Sponsors who would like to attend the conference are asked to contact Liza Scallet, the VASS Administrative Assistant, for registration information.
VASS Business Affiliate Members (Levels One-Three) are eligible to send representatives to the Winter Conference. Please contact Liza Scallet, the VASS Administrative Assistant, for more information and the link to register representatives.
